Spokane YIMBY Network

What does YIMBY mean?     YIMBY stands for Yes in my Backyard”

instead of the normal response in society which is we do not want apartments, duplexes, ADU’s or poor people in my neighborhood.   A gut reaction in society is that we want things to stay the same.   This results in NIMBY “Not in my backyard”.  In Spokane we wish to work on education, outreach and legislative priorities that combat this idea.
