About Transitions Home Yard Cottages: The Home Yard Cottages provides affordable, permanent supportive housing units for families and individuals in 24 cottages. Fifteen of the cottages are net-zero with solar panels. Services include case management and community activities for the residents. In 2022, the Cottages housed 33 adults and 39 children. About Gonzaga Haven: 73 Service-enriched apartments where residents can stabilize their lives by working with case managers and social service coordinators to achieve long-term housing and stability goals. The Gonzaga Family Haven affordable housing complex is embedded with wraparound support services so that families can stabilize their lives through on-site case management, community events, and skill-building opportunities.
About Volunteers of America Hope House: 100 shelter beds and 60 apartments. Originally known as the Downtown Women’s Shelter, Hope House was founded in response to the 1997 serial murders of women on the streets of Spokane to offer women protection from violence on the street. Operated by Volunteers of America since 2001, Hope House Spokane is dedicated to making a significant difference in the lives of homeless women. Last year, Hope House Spokane provided shelter and refuge to more than 500 women aged 18 and older.
